From black and gold Business Cards to shimmering Postcards – discover foiling at MOO

We spoke to six brands using Foil to elevate their print.

We may be a bit biased, but even the most simple designs dazzle with our special finishes. But don’t just take our word for it; take a look at some of our customer’s shiny prints. From black and gold Business Cards to Silver Foil Postcards, they nailed the assignment when it came to designing eye-catching prints.

Gold Foil Business Cards by Spark Studio

First up, we’ve got Karolina – founder of Spark Studio. She creates unique designs for unique businesses. “It is both my passion and mission to create bespoke branding that expresses exactly what the business of my client is, and simply makes each business spark, in their inimitable way”.

While designing her shiny black and Gold Business Cards, Karolina aimed to show magic, spark, and possibility through her product. “A foil design was an essential element to reach my goal.”

“The Printfinity option is a real game-changer (and kind of an ice-breaker!)”

Using Printfinity, Karolina opted for different background colors for her Business Cards, adding variety to each design. “The Printfinity option is a real game-changer (and kind of an ice-breaker!). It’s always a fun element when I let the people I exchange my cards with choose the color version of my Business card by themselves”.

Emilie & Lane

Chandler's black and gold Business Cards and Postcards.

Next up, meet Chandler, the founder of Emily & Lane; a digital marketing agency that specializes in luxury beauty and lifestyle brands.

She chose to create foiled Postcards as a way to stand out in this tech-saturated era. She firmly believes in the power of personal touches, and that a hand-written thank you note can go a long way.

“The luxurious feel of the Gold Foil finish on a Postcard leaves a lasting impression, resonating with the high-end nature of the brands we represent”

A consistent look and feel across marketing materials is key for her; “I crafted Postcards that mirror my MOO black and gold Business Cards, ensuring consistent branding.” Chandler also champions the importance of premium print products. “The luxurious feel of the Gold Foil finish on a Postcard leaves a lasting impression, resonating with the high-end nature of the brands we represent”, she said.

The Logo Page

We couldn’t resist these Gold Foil Postcards designed by The Logo Page, a female-led design studio specializing in graphic design services.

On top of creating something truly eye-catching, they also wanted their print to be displayed and cherished by their clients. “We knew that Gold Foil would be the perfect addition for that extra special luxurious feel. We wanted to make a ‘pin, don’t bin’ style card that could be used as an affirmation poster,” they told us.

Anna Petermichl Design

Silver Foil Business Cards by Anna Petermichl

Anna Petermichl is the founder of Anna Petermichl Design. She adores the color silver so much that her master’s exhibition mirrored a trendy chrome look (even down to her outfit!). Evidently, her Business Cards deserved a shiny MOO upgrade (with, you guessed it, Silver Foil). “I adore the brightness and strength, and the reflection and clean look of Silver Foil finishing,” she said.

“I believe that especially in an often impersonal, fast-paced and transformative time, it’s important to have tangible objects.”

Despite being a digital native, Anna loves print. “I believe that especially in an often impersonal, fast-paced and transformative time, it’s important to have tangible objects, things you can hold on to – that’s how I feel about print products like Business Cards, they bring personality to everyday life, can leave a lasting impression and bring a smile to your face”.

EP Lettering

Silver Foil Postcard by EP Lettering

Feeling festive? Erica from EP Lettering offers custom lettering services, calligraphy, and hand lettering workshops. Erica designed a holiday Postcard featuring Silver Foil text. “I love Postcards! It’s always nice to receive one in the mail, and I thought it would be fun to design and send one of my own for the holidays”.

Her inspiration? Icy winters in her hometown. “Toronto is very cold in the wintertime. It’s very beautiful, especially when the sun is shining and the ice sparkles. This is what inspired me to combine a blue background with Silver Foil lettering. The Postcard has a lovely soft touch finish and the shine of the silver foil is amazing”.

Alan Aldred

Last but not least, we’ve got Alan Aldred, a veteran tattoo artist with over 15 years of experience. Alan finds his passion in exploring the art of Japanese tattoos. Opting for a black and Gold Foil Square Business Card he shared; “not only do my customers appreciate the quality and finish but so do other tattoo artists”.

His Business Cards are inspired by iconic images from Japanese tattooing. He told us; “I added a softer touch with chrysanthemum petals framing the image. A clean line-work design works great with the Gold Foil finish, and is easily spotted from a distance”.
