How brands are building wellness into their DNA
Here’s who’s doing wellness right.
Can brands help us live healthier lives?
Wellness has become something of a marketing buzzword over the last few years, used to sell everything from celery juice to cold plunge tanks to makeup. But, it’s not just another marketing trend, and the research seems to point to something longer-lasting. 82% of people now say wellness is a top priority in their day-to-day lives, with millennial and Gen Z customers purchasing more wellness products and services than previous generations ever did.
We want to optimize our health, and we want brands to help us do it. And that’s shaping the way brands design and communicate with us.
Here are the wellness warriors leading the healthy brand charge.
Nike Well Collective: celebrating every body

Traditionally, Nike’s marketing has focused on elite athletes. We all remember the classic Michael Jordan ads featuring superhuman feats, and other tough talking elite athletes. Over the last couple of years though, Nike has changed its tone in response to our evolving views of everyday wellness.
Instead of spotlighting the world’s fastest runners or strongest athletes, Nike’s newer advertising shifts the focus to our wellness: what your body can do, every single day.
The Nike Well Collective focuses on building a kinder relationship with yourself and finding joy in movement, however it looks for you. It’s rooted in five key pillars of holistic wellbeing: movement, mindfulness, nutrition, rest, and connection.
From expert-led content and inclusive classes to supportive communities that meet people where they are, the Nike Well Collective makes wellness feel both accessible and sustainable. It’s an example of how brands can empower us to celebrate our bodies, our progress, and our everyday wins.
Liquid Death: hydration that doesn’t play by the rules

None of us drink enough water. In a world of brightly colored sodas and sugary juices, good old hydration can seem a little dull. Liquid Death is the water brand that’s out to change that, and “murder your thirst.” With tallboy cans, bold graphics, and a name that sounds more heavy metal than hydration, their product feels like an energy drink meets craft beer.
This kind of design feels noteworthy because it flips the script on wellness. Instead of preaching purity, they’re making hydration cool and a little rebellious. And beneath the irreverent branding lies a serious mission: #DeathToPlastic. Every can is made from aluminum, which is infinitely recyclable, unlike those 500 billion plastic bottles tossed out each year.
In their own maverick way, they’re a brand that talks about what it means to live well: more water, less plastic, zero BS. By getting more people to hydrate—and care about sustainability in the process—they’ve turned a simple can of water into a $1.4 billion movement.
Headspace: mindfulness for everyone

Headspace are masters of making mindfulness feel refreshingly simple. Their app is full of gentle animations and clutter-free layouts—an open invitation to slow down and tune in. Every detail, from the soothing color palette to the playful illustrations, is designed to help users feel calm, focused, and fully present.
The brand is supporting global wellbeing, too. Headspace for Organizations supports teams with reduced stress, improved focus, and a clear boost in morale.
Companies report improvements across the board from reduced anxiety to increased productivity. It’s proof that thoughtful design, paired with genuine support, can make a real difference, whether you’re working solo or side-by-side.
MOO: back to basics

The current hunger for wellness hasn’t come out of nowhere. Nearly half of workers feel stressed, overburdened with crammed calendars, endless notifications, and relentless screen time.
The good news is that employers are starting to take action: 91% are planning to invest more in mental health support. And meaningful change doesn’t always mean more apps or alerts. Sometimes, the most effective shift is a simpler one.
Research shows that writing by hand can boost memory, lower stress levels, and improve focus and creativity. Analog tools can offer real wellbeing benefits. That’s where MOO’s Perpetual Planner comes in.
Unlike digital calendars that add pressure, this dateless planner gives teams the freedom to start (or restart) at any point in the year. No guilt or wasted pages. It’s an antidote for calendar chaos, empowering teams to take back control of their schedules and their wellbeing.
