MOO x Queer Britain: print that represents
How the first national LGBTQ+ museum in London brings queer stories to life with MOO.
When you step inside Queer Britain, the UK’s first national LGBTQ+ museum, you’ll find more than exhibitions. You’ll find a living archive of identities, stories, and everyday objects that have shaped queer history.
In collaboration with Queer Britain, we created a collection of printed products and branded merch to help share those stories across exhibitions, events, and Pride celebrations. Because at its best, print doesn’t just inform. It represents. And often, the simplest designs, such as a custom Sticker or Postcard, carry the most meaning.
We spoke with Mark King, Head of Design and Special Projects, and Evie Marcia Moore, Social Media Manager and Welcome Team Leader, to understand more about how print helps the museum bring queer stories to life.
Queer Britain’s iconic Hexagon Wall

One of the museum’s most beloved features is the hexagon wall, a magnetic whiteboard where visitors leave empowering messages. This interactive piece has become a spontaneous archive of queer life, with messages from people all over the world. It serves as a space for messages of solidarity, personal confessions, and even memorials. One visitor wrote, “I’m bi and nobody knows.” Weeks later, another added a hexagon nearby, pointing to it with a simple,“Me too.”
We worked with Queer Britain to create a limited edition set of custom Printfinity Luxe Postcards, with a selection of these messages. These are now portable pieces of the wall that visitors could take home. “It’s a hexagon wall spreading to everyone’s house,” said Evie.
The importance of tangible objects

In an increasingly digital world, physical objects have power. Postcards, Journals, and Name Tags let visitors celebrate identity, remember meaningful moments, and feel seen. Mark reflects, “There’s nothing more powerful than standing in front of the real thing. Postcards and stickers aren’t just souvenirs – they can help shape your identity.”
Evie adds that the simple act of putting on a Sticker can be a form of expression: “I love the stickers so much. Everybody loves stickers. You just stick a sticker on yourself and your queer identity is out there. It’s activism made tangible.”

Each item, whether sent to a loved one or worn at an event, becomes a small but meaningful reminder of community, solidarity, and history. “Parents buy queer postcards and send them to their children—it’s a small but powerful gesture of acceptance,” Evie told us.
A hub of community and collaboration

Queer Britain is a space for the community, by the community. It relies on a dedicated team of volunteers who are the “heart and soul” of the museum. These volunteers not only assist with daily operations but also contribute their skills and expertise behind the scenes.
The museum also works with various outside partners, including companies and community groups, to host a wide range of events. “We do several Pride events every year. Flyers help spread our message far and wide,” said Evie.
We worked with them to create Name Tags for events, as well as Flyers that they can hand out at events to encourage people to become members and support the museum.
MOO is part of your team

Working with MOO gave Queer Britain the creative support to bring their vision to life in print. “As a small team, working with MOO’s designers really expanded our capacity. They understood our brand quickly and brought fresh ideas. ”said Mark King
“As a small team, working with MOO’s designers really expanded our capacity. They understood our brand quickly and brought fresh ideas.”
“So much thought and care went into the products, they reflect our visitors’ voices and Queer Britain’s vision,” said Evie. Every Postcard, Greeting Card, Sticker and Journal was designed with care, helping the museum celebrate community, spark connection, and extend its story beyond its walls.
