These images were inspired by Sigmund Freud, the Austrian doctor who pioneered psychotherapy. The images echo the mirrored ink blobs used in many forms of therapy to explore patient’s unconscious. Whoever looks at these images will associate different things with the shapes.

About the designer

Somang Lee is a London-based Illustrator and a graduate of the Royal College of Art, where she completed a Masters Degree in Communication Art & Design. She also studied at Central Saint Martins School of Art & Design, where she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Illustration and Graphic Design. Stories are at the heart of what inspires her, as an image-maker, animator and performer, she always loved the ability to immerse herself in a good story and liked to create new worlds where reality and the imagined meet and become something unexpected.
