Learn how to set up your files for print
We ask for two PDF files, one for your artwork and another for the special finish. The two files should have the same number of pages.
Each artwork page should have a matching special finish. E.g if an artwork page doesn’t have a special finish leave a blank page in the special finish PDF file.
The special finish PDF should be vector based, black and white. The black parts will denote which parts of your design we apply special finish to.
Thicker lines print better. We recommend 1pt and above
10pt and higher. Otherwise, the small gaps in typography will cause pooling
Create your special finish in vector to ensure clean, crisp lines
Avoid small gaps less than 1pt to prevent pooling
Your main artwork PDF and your special finish PDF should have the same number of pages. If you have a page without a special finish, include it as a blank page
Be sure to check your desired alignment and be aware whilst printing is accurate, it may shift ever-so-slightly in the printing process.
Only use black (100% K) and white. The black parts will denote which parts of your design we apply the special finish to.
