MOO x Bluestone Lane: we’re Back in the Room
Over 500 coffees brewed. 1,000 pieces of merch shared. One buzz-generating pop-up in NYC.
If there’s one thing we know at MOO, it’s that great things happen when people get together. Ideas flow faster, conversations spark easier, and somehow even the coffee tastes better, too.
That’s the exact energy we set out to create with our #BackInTheRoom campaign, a special pop-up in partnership with Bluestone Lane Coffee. Based in New York City (with Aussie roots), Bluestone Lane has built a reputation for bringing people together over world-class coffee and a laid-back, community-first vibe.
As the fall season kicked into gear and teams everywhere were settling back into office rhythms, we wanted to spotlight something that had been missing from too many workdays: genuine, face-to-face connection. And what better place to do it than at one of NYC’s most beloved Australian-inspired coffee destinations?
Why we brought people #BackInTheRoom

The event was all about creating a space where busy New Yorkers could pause, connect, and rediscover the joy of being present with each other, not just pixels on a screen. The pop-up celebrated those small, meaningful IRL moments. The ones that can only happen when you take your earphones out, step away from the screen, and show up in person.
We also wanted to tap into the back-to-school energy that September brings. You remember that feeling—fresh Notebooks, new Pens, and the delicious possibilities this season offers. We wanted to bottle that optimism and pair it with really excellent coffee.
What went down

Walking into the Bluestone Lane pop-up, visitors discovered an array of MOO Merchandise designed to inspire real-world connections. Our Stickers became instant conversation starters with relatable messages like “Slack it? Say it!” and “Reconnecting is not just for wifi.” They perfectly captured the tension (and connection) between our digital and physical lives.
The response was amazing. Over 1,000 pieces of merch found new homes, from MOO Twist Pens to Water Bottles and Notebooks. Many attendees mentioned they were already MOO Business Card customers and were thrilled to discover our expanded range of branded products.
Who showed up

We were thrilled to welcome a mix of industry leaders, media, and coffee lovers alike. Guests included journalists from outlets like CNN and Business Insider, plus teams from companies like BlackRock and Pfizer. Just as importantly, plenty of passersby on their morning commute stopped in to see what was happening.
In total, we served more than 530 coffees and teas, fueling conversations between office workers, media guests, and curious commuters. The event proved that when you create genuine value with free artisanal coffee and beautifully designed MOO products, people take notice.
How the buzz turned into real impact
The partnership was a success on every level, from strong turnout to coverage in outlets like Time Out, NYC for Free, and Average Socialite. Most importantly, it brought MOO’s brand values to life in real time. Every interaction highlighted our commitment to meaningful human connection.
Whether someone was discovering MOO for the first time or reconnecting with products they already loved, the event created space for authentic engagement that digital channels alone can’t replicate.
The social media response was equally impressive, with both paid partnerships and organic content from attendees generating authentic buzz across Instagram and TikTok.
But the real success metric was the in-person buzz, the follow-up conversations, and the reminder that sometimes the most effective marketing happens when people are simply enjoying themselves.
