As some of you might’ve already spotted, we’ve ‘localised’! What does that mean? Well, it means MOO is now available in more than one language. Since launch, MOO has shipped to countries all over the world, and little-by-little we’ve been learning, so we can speak to you in your own language too.

So far, MOO has been translated into French, Italian, Spanish and German. If your browser is already set for one of these languages, it should automatically appear in the language of your choice. If it’s not, you can switch languages by clicking the links at the bottom of every page.

As I’ve already mentioned, we are still learning, so if you spot something a bit odd please do let us know. We might be a bit embarrassed, but we’ll do what we can to fix it!

In the mean time - welcome everyone! Pull up a chair, and make yourself feel at home.

Wie einige vielleicht schon bemerkt haben, ist unsere Seite jetzt bersetzt! Was das heit?

    Yehey! On the localizations :D

  2. Stephanie Booth

Small comment on the French version of the post: it’s quite a bit more formal than the English version. Too much “nous”, not enough “on”. The slightly ‘chatty’ style is lost, which is a shame, and it feels a tad stiff.

Other than that, there are no mistakes, which is already great!

  3. Lotta

That’s brilliant! I’d love to translate Moo into Swedish…

  4. Riccardo

    Cool stuff!
I already left a comment a few days ago about the availability of Italian, but wanted to add my 2c also here.
Same as in French (as I get from Stephanie’s comment above) the Italian message is still a bit stiffer than the English. An example is the closing sentence in the post above.
To keep to informal tone, you could use something like: “Nel frattempo, benvenuto! Prenditi una sedia, accomodati e fa’ come fossi a casa tua.”

  5. Vanessa

Have you ever thought about translating into other English “languages” … like Australian?

  6. George

Hi Denise and other Moos -

Congratulations on the new languages! But. It doesn’t seem to work for me…

    I’m on a MacBookPro, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7.

When I click on another language option, I get taken to the new URL - http://it.moo.com - but the language hasn’t changed.

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to tell you, but, whatever.

When’s the Dutch version going online? Next week? Please let it be next week. Oh yeah, and world peace too.

    @George

Hi George, sorry to hear you’re having issues. Have you tried clearing all your cookies and looking again? That should resolve your problem but if it doesn’t post up another reply and I’ll be in touch to see what else we can do for you.

    Iain from MOO

  9. Murat

I would also love to translate into Turkish

  10. Yana

Hi! I’m relatively new here and I just got my cards today…and on to stickers now. I’m completely in love with MOO and it’s the greatest service (and people) I’ve come across so far. If you want, I can translate into Russian - I do have a degree in linguistics after all :D
    Cheers,
    Y
