Show off your brand

It’d be fair to say that we’re a bunch of nerds here at MOO HQ. We’re design nerds, food nerds and computer nerds.  But the thing that we love to get really geeky about more than anything else is a good bit of branding.

Now we know we’re probably preaching to the choir (we do love hearing you sing!) but a good, strong, consistent brand is one of the most important things about running a business. Making great products and giving great customer service is super important, too – but that’s a different blog post! Your brand is who you are, and it informs every element of your business; ultimately it’ll impact how much your customers love your products and services.

Having a great brand is the first step; making sure you use it really well is the second. It’s important to communicate to customers, partners, and – well – everybody, who you are and what you stand for. Remember the saying ‘a picture tells a thousand words’? Well, it’s true with branding. Perhaps the most powerful way to put your own personal stamp on your professional world is with a strong and consistent visual identity. It’s taking your brand – the essence of your business beliefs – and expressing them in pictures, colours, fonts, graphics and a logo.

So we want to see your brand in action! We’d love to see how you take your brand identity and reflect or adapt it across multiple MOO printed products. Here’s one we made earlier:

Remember – it’s open to interpretation – we want to see something consistently branded across, for example, your MOO Business Cards and another print product you use to promote your business. Send us pictures of consistently branded printed products you’ve ordered with a little explanation about how you use them together to competitions@moo.com by 28th February for a chance to be our winner.

What does the lucky winner get? Ah, we’re glad you asked. The winner, as selected by MOO Design Director Anup, will get £100/$150 MOOlah and will be featured in pride of place on our Pinterest board of excellent branding.

    You are absolutely correct, branding can make you or break you. This company that I am starting just has the logo designed and we are now finalizing the website to launch at the end of February. We are trying to create dashing business cards and determine how to approach this concept in terms of branding. So, I welcome the challenge, thank you.

      Hiya Wojtet – that’s a great question, thanks for asking. We’d prefer to see real printed stuff from MOO. The real MOO’coy, if you will. Of course if you’d like to show us a mock up, we’d love to see it, but it wouldn’t qualify for this competition.

    Hi, We’d love to enter. We are a very new business and so far we have only purchased business cards from MOO and we love them! We do have another printed product and other ways we “brand”. We are happy to say our MOO business cards are part of our approach so can we still enter the competition? Or is it for MOO products only?

    Branding is extremely important. It needs to be consistent across all channels. Brand confusion will result in lost opportunities.

    Hi I would love to enter the moo competition! The only thing I order from moo are my business cards but I’m willing to show how I use other printed pieces to promote myself if that’s okay? Another question, is it okay if I share a drop box invite with the moo email address? I already know the file size will be too big if I send it through yahoo.
