Ever sat at your desk, dreaming of being more than a small cog in a giant machine, thinking “maybe I’d like to be all the gears in the machine?” Well, these were the thoughts of footwear designer Darin Hager, who founded Heyday Footwear after a decade of experience in the footwear industry designing sneakers for big companies. Now, he’s a one-man machine – and he loves it.

“I do it all myself. “ Darin tells us “I literally do every part of the job, not to mention the huge, huge amount of time went into social media, which is such a big part of the brand, especially one who is somewhat bootstrapped, where I just don't have the budget to hire great PR firms or ad agencies.” And with the power of one, as it were, Darin’s achieved more in five years than companies with a whole team behind them manage in a lifetime. And the title on his Business Cards? Chief of Everything Officer. Well, exactly!
