So that’s what you get up to in your spare time.

We’ll admit it, when we asked for your secret skills and hobbies we expected lots of very interesting (and dare we say, some slightly bizarre) entries. Well you have delivered…and we love it.

We’ve still got a mountain of entries to look through, but we wanted to get ahead of the game and share a selection of these with you now (You can expect a series of blogs coming in the near future!)

Let’s also say, it’s confirmed just how creative, interesting and inspiring our community is.

Take for example, Bob Yoder, who we think may have trained at the Matrix School of martial arts. Bob is a master of so many different martial art disciplines…we’re talking martial arts we hadn’t even heard of. A potential real life ninja? Well, we couldn’t say…but…

Another entry close to our hearts was from Robbie Cumming who is a Twitter trend cartoonist (Yup, it’s every bit as cool as it sounds). Make sure you have a look at his topical doodles here: @twit_toons

If you’re a moo fan, you’ll know that we’re big fans of stop motion, so when Sheri and Ryan Killackey emailed us with their stop motion business…well, we got a little bit excited. It began as a hobby and when their project “A day in the life of California” went viral and was picked up by NBCThe Huffington Post and Engadget (to name a few) was born. These stunning time lapse videos definitely caught our attention.

A Day in California from Ryan Killackey on Vimeo.

We think Andrea’s amazing cakes in our initial blog may have inspired some of you because there were lots (!) of outstanding cake entries.

Just take Anna Hamill for example, she’s part photographer and part outstanding cake maker. Her beautiful tarte tatin had our mouths watering.

Then of course we had Anila Babla who’s outstanding, realistic sushi cake had us doing a double take. See more of this awesome cake for yourself.

Okay, we’ll stop with the cakes! We’re getting hungry just looking at them – and if anybody needs any cake testers, there are lots of willing ones at moo!

Well, we could blog about these all day and night but we’ll finish up here for now. If you want more head over to our Pinterest board to see some more entries. And of course, we’ll let you know when blog number 2 of the series is uploaded too. If you’re feeling inspired by what you’ve seen, please do send your hobbies to We can’t get enough of them.

Das machen Sie also in Ihrer Freizeit

Speaking of hobbies and passions, it seems to me that people who are passionate and successful in one area of their life are often just as passionate in other areas. So I started an interview series” “The Successful and the Passionate” where I talk to successful and passionate people about some of the things they share a passion for that aren’t so well-known.

I have rock stars talking about printing presses, NASA engineers talking about writing, photographers talking about a contentious love of nature, and an expert on HTML5 talking about why he runs ultramarathons.

If only I had any talents of my own!

These are beautiful! I really enjoyed looking at this post! I have to admit I’ve only gotten free offers from MOO, but I do plan to buy cards from you guys at some point, it’s just that I don’t work, I’m disabled, but I love your cards so much, they’re unlike any others I’ve ever seen. the last 10 I received I just put my name, email, address and phone number on one side, then on the other side I placed some celtic cross stickers I had, they look really cool! I love doing stuff like that. I like having cards to give out to new people I meet, as I volunteer at the visitor center in my town, so they come in handy. thank you so much for the free cards by the way. That’s very nice of you. I live on very little, so it’s a very nice thing for me. But I would like to be a customer so I will tell people about you. Thanks again. akbj

  6. Bruce Allinson - Professional Photographer:

I just love the whole concept of a twitter trend cartoonist and can’t stop thinking that I can be a twitter trend photographer – something I must look into though at the moment I fail to see who will pay me for the service.

Very good blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring
writers? I’m hoping to start my own website soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..

    Any tips? Cheers!
