Our top picks of your Christmas Card designs

6th December 2012 by Jon

Last month we showcased some innovative Christmas and Holiday Cards that MOO Creative Director Matt G tracked down. This got us thinking; there must be hundreds of wonderful designs out there in the big wide world that Matt simply wouldn’t have time to track down by himself. So we asked our friends on Facebook and Twitter to show us what they’d seen or created.

We got so many responses that there’s simply not enough blog space to hold them all! We’ve picked just a selection of designs that really caught our eye. Without further ado, here are our top picks:

We loved Clare Elsom’s comic-style Christmas super-hero. Nothing says season’s greetings like a cheeky little fellow dressed up in a cape and mask!

And how about this for a Christmas Card that’s tailored to your mission statement? MeSign work with families, children and adults who use British Sign Language as their primary method of communication. Their card, designed by Amy Irving, is the perfect way for them to spread a little holiday cheer, whilst also raising awareness for their cause.

No Holiday Card collection would be complete without some beautiful photography that brings the outdoors in to the comfort of your home (preferably without the mess of snow boots and soggy gloves). Claire Williams’ photographical designs capture some classic, wintery landscapes.

This one was hand delivered by our friends at Dinnick & Howells. They’ve chosen to channel a love of 3D motion graphics by transforming their logo in to a swirling candy cane, sweet eh?

We couldn’t resist this one; Anjie has mixed painted media with a cow in a hat. And if that wasn’t enough, there are even baubles on the cow’s horns. Jolly all-round!

Continuing the ‘animals in hats’ theme, check out Kitty’s Christmas critters, she’s made use of cute figures of animals from around the world (a panda bear catching a ride with a polar bear; very cute), dressed them in matching hats and placed them hoof-deep in cotton wool snow. What better way to say ‘let’s get together this Christmas’?

Thanks to everyone who’s showed us your designs, and we’re always on the lookout for inspiring design and innovative businesses, so don’t be shy! Sharing is caring!
