We were all incredibly shocked and saddened to learn this morning about the loss, in a tragic cycling accident, of one of our colleagues – our Community Manager, Dan Harris.
Dan looked after all things social media for MOO and was a popular, entertaining and much loved member of the MOO Crew.
There are no words that can truly express how much we’ll all miss him, and his infectious enthusiasm, warmth and passion for life.
Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends at this sad time.
UPDATED 3rd August 2012: Many of his friends and colleagues at MOO knew that Dan was an avid and incredibly safety conscious cyclist. He was always seen wearing a helmet whilst riding, and had recently expressed frustration with cyclists who endanger themselves and others by jumping red lights.
Dozens of the MOO Crew in our London office cycle to and from work, or have friends who do the same – all we can ask is that you take extra care on the roads. Thank you.
UPDATED 3rd August 2012: On behalf of the team here at MOO and the Harris family – a huge thank you for all of your kind words. Dan’s family have sent us a note to further express their thanks, here.
How very sad! Such a young man!…. My sincere condolences to all his family, friends and all of you at Moo.
Dear Moo Family….my condolences and sympathy to you and Dan’s family. What a tragic loss for all. Sending thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
What a terrible thing for his family, friends and colleagues to have to cope with. How horribly ironic that he was one of London’s very few law-abiding cyclists. My sincere condolences.
Very sorry to hear this sad news and wishing you all strength.
I am a new Moo client/lover and realized immediately what a special company this is.
It sounds like Dan was a special and very loved guy. I don’t really know what to say other than I am saddened by his tragic loss, I did not know him, but you don’t have to, to be affected. Peace to all that were close to him, and know random people like me care.
How sad and tragic. I have been with the MOO family for 3 years and during that time I have enjoyed seeing my own business grown as much as seeing MOO grow. Dan left an indelible mark, and I wish his family and his friends comfort.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I wish you strength in this time of mourning. Bless his family.
A tragic event and my thoughts go out all if his family and friends during these times
I’m a big fan of Moo. Very sorry to hear of your loss and that of Dan’s family. You all have a great company and I’m sure Dan was a part of this greatness. My sincere condolences…
Just 3 short weeks ago, I met Dan for the first time. We met at Hoxton Grill for lunch, and immediately formed a great connection. I found him funny, warm, helpful, and kind, and I am devastated to hear of his loss. We’ve all lost a good one.
Be careful out on those roads, kids.
On behalf of myself and all my Adobe colleagues,
Adobe EMEA Community Manager
I’m a road cyclist. It truly pains me to read this. I’m so sorry for your loss.
I just want to say as a fan of Moo that I am deeply sorry for your loss, to all Dan’s friends, Moo family and family. I learnt of this sad news while I was away on my Honeymoon and was very moved even though I have never met Dan before.
