Spending a day as a MOO Ambassador

You may recall that last month we were looking for a few good (wo)men in London to help us out at a tradeshow, and after receiving quite a few eager replies we ended up bringing Mark and Rob on board to be MOO ambassadors at the Great British Business Show.

It was hard work but we all had a lot of fun, and here’s what it was like in Mark and Rob’s words:

Mark:

I was very excited when i received the email from Melissa to confirm that I had been chosen as a moo.com ’Ambassador’.

Basically I had the pleasure of talking moo for 2 days at the Great British Business Show at ExCel in London docklands. It all began in an East London storage car park on a Wednesday afternoon where we loaded up the van and headed off to ExCel to get the stand all pretty for the 2 day show.

The setup was pain free and it soon took shape with all manner of dazzling, quality moo products which included the new moo ‘Luxe’ business cards. Now it was a first for me to see these in the ‘flesh’ and they were something very special indeed.

Paul from the product design team was there and gave me a brief run down of the year’s worth of work that went into bringing the Luxe card to life.  It was amazing to learn the process and to understand what work actually goes into moo’s products, let’s just say that they don’t muck about when it comes to new products at moo.

Having been a customer at moo utilising their ‘Printfinity’ technology and having people say to me “wow! your cards are great that’s so cool that each card is different!” it was very refreshing to speak to other customers and find out their experiences using the service and more importantly comparing cards and designs!

The various staff from moo that came to show was great as I could get to know the company through a variety of departments. There were people from marketing, product design, business services and even the receptionist popped along.

It is so refreshing to see a company get themselves and their customers together to sell their product. All in all it was a fun experience and I got to take a glimpse behind the scenes of a modern creative company and that helped me understand how they work there to produce excellent products of the highest quality.

Thanks again moo! I enjoyed working with you and especially the stealth ‘yay!’ stickering of people passing by the stand!

Rob:

I became a MOO ambassador for the day and worked at the Great British Business Show, 18 May in the ExCel Centre in London. After a brief chat through the products and promotions being offered we spent the day chatting to huge amounts of people about what the company does and what they sell.

I genuinely feel that this social interaction between the staff and customers is something all business should aspire to be like, and am amazed it is only just starting to catch on now!
