‘What was the best business advice you ever received?’
We asked you this question last week, during US Small Business Week – and what an amazing response you gave!
We weren’t surprised, of course – there’s no group of go-getting entrepreneurs and ambitious startup pioneers better suited to answer this question than our creative community. In fact, you showered us with so much valuable advice that picking a winner was more difficult than choosing between Victoria sponge and Mississippi Mud Pie (and you know how we feel about cake…)
Which is why we picked two! Congratulations to Christine Choi, whose passionate people-focused advice was really similar to the way the MOO crew feel about our customers. She says “People matter! Get to know …Continue reading this article…
Today, dear reader, I’d like to take you back to February of this year. It was the run up to the launch of the new MOO Designs and everyone here at MOO had been concentrating on bringing as many great designs to as wide an audience as possible. We all wanted to launch a product where anyone could come to our site and order beautiful, word-class business cards without any formal design training. I think we achieved that goal but as some of you soon noticed, we didn’t launch with the ability to upload a full design to the details side of a MOO Design. Since then we’ve learnt that there are plenty of people out there …Continue reading this article…
Simi with Simon and Monika after setting up the MOO booth for FOCUS
As my marketing internship at MOO draws to a close, trying to sum up everything that I’ve learned and enjoyed in the last three months is a tough task. So, I’ve put together my MOO Top 5:
1. Getting to know MOO
Throughout the internship, I’ve loved working with both the MOO crew and the products.
I’ve seen Big MOO get its print on, and caught a glimpse of those CMYK vats as delicious as slushie mixers; done an afternoon’s ‘elfing’ in the warehouse – to help products be sorted, packaged and sent with as much care as a gift; and been warmly welcomed by the nice people here who …Continue reading this article…

Congratulations also to everyone who has taken part so far. Even the incorrect answers were good. And as we promised, this week will be chock full of daily distractions and contests, so without further ado, here’s poem #2:
There once was a lass who repaired things
For doctors and lawyers and ev’n kings!
‘Cause when they’d do it themselves,
They’d just break doors and shelves.
You might say she’s the wind ‘neath our wings.
