Stuck on MOO

15th November 2010 by Andrea

Well it’s been a month since we launched MOO StickerBooks in the US, and the Flickr sticker fans lurking not-so-furtively among you have been busy! We knew America had talent, but we’re beyond impressed with your cool ideas. It’s always a bit nerve wracking launching into a new market but if your love for stickers on Flickr is anything to go by, we won’t get unstuck any time soon!

This gorgeous StickerBook is by Japan-based photographer Yoshiko, who kept it simple, putting her delicately sketched wildlife photography onto our StickerBooks, then packaging them up beautifully and distributing them sheet per sheet. Brilliant!

Old MOO friend and photographer Corina Nielsen has created some highly original, black and white designs that we think are an amazing mix of vintage and cutting edge design. Even better, they’re available for download on her website!

We heart these really cute sticker designs from Lizzybeth Felties, an Etsy crafter who creates gorgeous felt brooches, and makes her own bespoke packaging as well. These logo stickers are fab to seal up packages for customers, and she’s even gone one step further and given them a festive twist for Christmas. How cute is that sprig of holly on top?

Sometimes, the art speaks for itself, and these stunning works are screaming at the top of their metaphorical lungs. A virtual protégé of the macabre influence of Edward Gorey and the gentle childlike influence of Where the Wild Things are illustrator Maurice Sendak, Natasha’s dreamy work includes this Postcard and StickerBook combo pack, which she sells on her Etsy site, The Blackbird Sings.

So that’s the first month of stickers in the US! And if that’s merely a first batch, we can’t wait to see what weird and wonderful designs you come up with next.
