Last week was Small Business Week in the USA. Inspired by this week long event, the team at MOO invited you to share your small business tips with other businesses on the MOO Blog… and you sure did!
We received over 150 comments throughout the week and were stunned by your creative and constructive ideas, and advice. We know that setting up a business can be tough work; eating into your time, patience and budget and we wanted to find a way to help, which is why we are rewarding some of the best suggestions and helpful tips with a few prizes! So, without further ado, the winners are…
Our first post on Monday was all about starting a small business, or “taking the plunge”. You all shared some fantastic advice for other small businesses – thank you! Our favourite tips all receive a copy of “MAKING IDEAS HAPPEN” by Scott Belsky (founder and CEO of Behance). Congratulations to Carmen Cay, Jacqueline, Katherine, Mike Richardson and Kerry Harrison.
You responded in force to Tuesday’s question: How did you come up with your business name? – and our favourite name was a response from Danna Seuntjens. Congratulations Danna, we hope you enjoy your Blurb Book and it helps you in promoting your business! A few of our other favourites came from Emma, Becky Bryant, Devan, Chris Mear, Vincent Palmer, Mary Jothen, Nikki Glover, and Bagladee – each winning a pack of 200 MOO Business Cards!
When it came to networking tips, you had plenty! It was a tough choice, but we narrowed the list down to a top three, each winning a three month Business Plus Premium membership worth ($150 each) thanks to our friends at LinkedIn! Congratulations to Amanda, Bonnie, and Jen.
Our post on Thursday was all about finding ways to make your admin easier. Our favourite piece of advice, and the winner of the admin advice prize (a one-year Solo Package (valued at $239.40 USD) from our friends at FreshBooks) is Mary. Thanks for the advice Mary and introducing other small businesses to Tavé!
What more suitable topic could we discuss on Friday than procrastination? We asked you for your tips to avoid procrastination and ensure you get your all-important work done for your chance to win some amazingly distracting Firebox prizes! First prize goes to Petrina Reyes, second prize to Tiffany and third prize to Sam. We’ve also got copies of “Getting Things Done” for Tom and Jade (whose comments put plenty of smiles on faces at MOO HQ). Thanks for sharing your advice!
Best of luck to every small business out there!
