Last week, I was walking the exhibit hall at SXSWi and was stopped in my tracks by a man in a hardhat standing in front of a pile of coal (sadly, I don’t have a photo). It was definitely a different approach** to other booths which were equipped with computer screens demonstrating the latest applications. I was compelled to ask what it all meant.
Raymond Hunter, Authorized Sales Agent from Touchcloud, handed me his card. It featured an image of a single solar panel alongside the promise: “Saving the planet one website at a time”. The design caught my eye and I quickly noted that it was a MOO Business Card printed on our Green paper stock.
Ray explained that Touchcloud, a data solutions and web hosting company, was dedicated to providing creators and users of internet content (audio, video, social networking) with a 100% eco-conscious hosting option using purely solar power.
Of course, I had to ask about his choice of MOO for their Business Cards. He explained, it was crucial for Touchcloud to use products that stayed faithful to their brand, beliefs and business ethic. Being a commercial enterpise, they also needed to work easily, effectively and economically with whoever they chose as their supplier. Cue MOO…
Ahhh. Thanks Ray for brightening our day. We hope Ray and Touchcloud will like the improvements to our Green paper stock especially the fact that the mill is powered by renewable, non polluting wind power.
