Unbearable Lightness of Being
Why the mice called with such a useless message is anyone’s guess, but as the bears scratched their heads and tried to make sense of it, there was a knock at the door. Momma bear went to open it, but all she found on the stoop was a square scrap of paper with a single character on it.
“Now what are we supposed to do,” wondered Momma bear?
“I do not want to go on another wild goose chase,” complained Poppa bear.
“Look,” exclaimed Baby bear as he peered out the doorway, “there’s another scrap of paper on the light post!” The bears went out to collect the second scrap and saw another pasted to a wall a short distance away.
“Hm,” said Baby bear, “they seem to be spelling out a message for us.”
The bears continued down the street collecting scraps of paper, following a winding path around the city until they wound up somewhere very familiar.
QUESTION: Follow the bear’s winding path and tell us what the mice’s message said. Be sure to start at the very beginning (it’s the very best place to start).
