Making the most of your unique creations

January 2009, by Denise | 4 Comments – latest by Denise

We see lots of designers and crafters making Business Cards and MiniCards with MOO. Some use them as a regular Business Card, like these, by Ray

Others, like Aaldea Broches incorporate them as part of their packaging:

Or like Jessica Wilson, as part of a display:

Today, we came across these, by T-shirt designer, Squink.

The cute cards on top are for use as regular business cards, but the ones underneath…

are Business Cards printed on our Green stock – which is perfect for writing on…

These cards are signed, numbered certificates, which travel with each limited edition T-shirt sold! Squink’s designer, Chris, uploaded a complete …Continue reading this article…

Tips for keeping track of your freelance cash

January 2009, by Denise | 11 Comments – latest by Pia K

Here at MOO, we’re seeing more and more people heading out into the freelance or small business world. As a few of the MOO team have been freelancers at different times in our careers, we can’t help but discuss how some things have changed for the better – and other things never seem to get any easier.

One question that’s always tricky to figure out is how much you should charge for your work. Too much, and you’ll never get the clients. Too little, and not only will you be out of pocket, but you’ll start feeling like your work is under valued (and if that’s the situation, you’ll wonder why you ever quit the rat-race in the first place).

Making MOO Business Cards just got easier

January 2009, by Denise | 34 Comments – latest by TONY c r

As you may know, we like to listen to your feedback. Hearing your thoughts on our products and the way they’re made helps us to improve things not only for you as an individual, but for everyone. A calendar you might actually like…

It’s that time of year again – the time when lots of shops reduce the pricing on calendars left unsold after the Christmas rush. Not only that, but you didn’t get one for Christmas, and all that’s left are things like ‘Road signs of Europe’ or ‘Hard-hats we’ve loved and lost’, or something equally uninspiring.

The great people at PhotoJojo have just shared a much better idea, by one of their readers, Sandy Weisz. It’s a perpetual wall calendar, made with your own photos!

Nice, isn’t it? Also works as great motivation to get out there and start taking more photos – as you need at least one photo each, of the numbers 1 through 31, and a …Continue reading this article…

Good idea in a box

January 2009, by Denise | 4 Comments – latest by Joy Appleton

Well, we’re a little late with the new year greetings, but… Happy new year anyway! We hope you had a fun festive season and that being back in the office is bearable. Thanks to those on Twitter who kept us company on Christmas Eve – there’s nothing like a bit of solidarity to cheer up a mini-Christmas-MOO Crew!

For those too cold to get their brains working, or anyone still stuck in a post xmas fug, I thought I would share this idea for a nice little memory game, made with Business Cards. You don’t have to make one right now, but it’s so quick and easy you could save it for the next time you feel like …Continue reading this article…
