We’ve seen lots of online chatter about flipbooks in the last year or so – people using video footage, pulling out key frames and making new school versions of the stick-men adventures from the old days.
Nicky – one of our awesome developers – spotted this blog post about creating your own flip books, recently. Using a combination of After effects and Photoshop, Alphonse has set up templates to help you make flipbooks of your own. If you check out the videos, you’ll see they work really well.
Now, is it just me, or do they look roughly Business Card sized? As Nicky says, adapting this to the Business Card format, and printing on Green Stock (which is slightly ‘flippier’) could be perfect. Bind the book nicely at one edge, put back in the nice little holder, and bingo – what a cute memento for newly weds, or a great little keepsake for new parents. Alternatively, as someone suggested in the comments, what a cool, hands-on way to show new people your video work… No cables required.
Sorry, can’t find anything like this.

I think those flip books are THE FUTURE!!!! Holding a video in your hands, without the use of technology or risk of brain tumours? FANTASTIC. I think Moo should have a feature that turns your video into a flip book, like.. $20 per flip book or something.
You could pay that guy for his idea and use it on here!! I would buy a zillion. Not literally, cause that would be a lot of money.. but you get the idea. :D
Please make a Flipbook feature. It could be called, Moobook!Mooflip! Flippymoocowbook! Anything! Just make it. :(
Huge fan

i think i might try this! but, instead of using video footage… using a series of action photo shots.
thank you for making the little light bulb go off in my head!
I’ve reblogged that handmade flipbook article because it’s very cool. I think Moo should get into this. I’ve seen other flipbooks but that handmade one really rocks. The leather and the screw, just perfect material.
Wow that’s a really nice flipbook effect! Love how it combines an old fashioned idea with new technology.
I think it would be a great idea for Moo to put something like this on the market like you suggested with newly weds etc. Wonder how much it would cost when you put this in production?
