Design a Sticker, Win a Flickr (pro account)!

14th April 2008 by Denise

Yes, MOO’s having a Sticker Design Competition! After heading off to various conferences, we’ve seen a *lot* of stickers on laptops. Some are good, some are ok, and some would just be a lot cooler if they were designed by someone good. That’s where you come in.

We want to create the perfect StickerBook of laptop Stickers. 90 different Stickers, with great designs, illustration or photography. Something that will really stand out, and something you’d be proud to stick on your shiny new laptop.

How do you enter? Well, it’s as easy as 1,2,3

1) First, design your sticker. It should be 283×283 pixels, at 300dpi. (Or 24x24mm at 300 dpi). You should save it as a high quality RGB Jpeg.

2) Next, submit your design to Pixish. (Pixish is free, and easy to join – so don’t worry. They’re nice people, and they don’t do spam).

3) Vote on other people’s entries and wait to see if you win.

What will you win?
Well, every entry chosen for the book will win a Flickr Pro account. We’ll also choose one overall winner, who will win a

  1. Ben:

If we already have a flickr pro account and we win, do we get another year of pro for free?

  2. Denise:

@Ben – yup, just extends your current Pro account for another year :)

  3. ooyes:

    what is this Pixish site?

  4. Denise:

You’ll see when you head over to Pixish that it’s a site for connecting image makers with people that want images made. It a little site set up to help people create competitions like this one.

  5. Alex Rea:

The format requirements are listed as 283 x 283 pixels, but everyone seems to be submitting the largest images they can over at Pixish. Which would you prefer?

  6. Denise:

@Alex – actual size would be great. If you wanted a template, there is one here. The image should cover the entire area – including the area marked ‘bleed’

  7. Tanya:

Hey someone is twittering about MOO cards, they need some ASAP…awesome opp to advertise!!
@elliotjaystocks Oh no! I’ve totally forgotten to order more Moo cards for FOWD! :( Can anyone who knows a Moo employee bribe them for an uber-fast print?

  8. Cynthia:

I just submitted an entry, but forgot to set it to 72dpi, should I re-upload? Will I be disqualified?

  9. DNG:

Is there any other way 2 view all the entries? Bcuz 5 @ a time is a bit slow :S

&.. do U pick the winner or do the votes pick the winner?

    (Luv the concept ;) )

  10. Denise:

    @DNG, sorry – i don’t think there is :/
We were planning on picking the ultimate winner, but the votes will also be taken into account.

@Cynthia – don’t worry – as long as you do have a higher res one available, that should be fine :)

  11. Ehsan:

WoW that is cool , i might give it a try :)
