Hello and welcome to this eggstra special, eggstra exciting last round of clues for the MOO Online Egg Hunt. Well, we always knew it would have to come to an end, but that doesn’t make it any less painful to say goodbye to you; our magnificent Egg Hunters. It’s also almost time to say goodbye to our 6 allies in this special hunt too; our little Mexican Wrestling Eggs. Let’s take a moment to remember our six cunning tear-aways who have kept you all busy and guessing as they wheedled their way into every nook and cranny of the internet.
So popular are these little guys, that we’ve done what you’ve asked for – we’ve made them available to buy on MOO products. So if you fancy using them to make Stickers for an egg hunt of your own, feel free!
Now, without further ado, the final two clues. We’ll announce all of Friday’s winners on Monday, with a couple of other special surprises (the fun isn’t quite over!)…
Clue for Egg Thirty-Nine
The lights they dim and they ______.
Making it hard to see stickers.
The nutcracker’s a a classic ______,
Often performed near a holiday.
Some clues are easy, while others are ____.
The fate of this one is still in the cards.
Hint #1: The second two blanks are decoys.
Hint #2: There’s a command verb hidden in the poem too!
Clue for Egg Forty
Our final egg, tear in his eye, sneaks off site to weep.
He’ll find a book to distract himself so he can try to sleep.
As he sleeps, he dreams of waking, early to the dawn
And finding Huck there in his kitchen, greeting him with a yawn.
What’s that Huck doing now? Why, he’s making breakfast!
Fresh orange juice and scrambled eggs and… oops.
Hint #1: Need to check the prize list? You’ve been to this site before!
Hint #2: You know which keywords to search for, right?
And don’t forget the Great Outdoors Egg Hunt doesn’t close until March 16th, 11.59pm GMT! There’s still time to look for clues and see if you can find an Egg near you. Look for more details in the Flickr Egg Hunt Pool.
And finally, the hints, locations and resting places of Egg Thirty-Six and Thirty Seven – the Egg Cracking heroes are:
Egg Thirty-Seven: Jennifer Newman, at 13.54 on 14/3/08
Hint #1: You’ll need to be on a site hinted at by the first two lines.
Hint #2: The second stanza contains a name to look for.
Hint #3: Formal Conversation with the Vampire? That’s not what the book is called, is it?
Still stuck? We’d hidden this little egg on Illustration Friday!
Egg Thirty-Six: Darlene Levy, at 17.27
Hint #1: The main site you need is hinted at by the words, optics, exposure and aperture.
Hint #2: There are three other important hints hidden in this rhyme as well.
Hint #3: They include answers to where you should go on the site in question, what you should do when you get there and the word you should do it with.
Still stuck? We’d hidden this little egg in an old Flickr blog post!
Yay – hints now added for Egg Thirty-Eight
Now I can finally go to sleep
Got 40! It took me 16 minutes, though…
I think you might have beat me Kymberlie ^^; I think I got it in under 2 mins.
I know what 40 is talking about, and I can’t find it!!! I’m looking at everything I can find related to that book. Where is it?! Please help fellow hunters! Why isn’t it where I’m looking?
Katie, I had the same problem. Try searching on the blog…
Thank You alicia! I asked someone else in an email and they said not right now check back…haha
I’m glad I’ll be able to make them now ^__^
Kudos to the Moo team for coming up with this eggstraordinary eggciting hunt. It’s been a wonderful 10 days, though like Kymberlie, my sleep pattern has gone somewhat haywire (the afternoon clues come out at 1am here!).
I’ve had a great time, and congrats to all the winners! =)
@Alicia: Stickers ordered!
I also didn’t realize that some of my favorite Busted Tees stuff had stickers (“That’s what she said!” which I say constantly, the Guitar Hero guitar, and “I’d hit that”), so now I have the best sticker book ever with eggs, Busted Tees images, and skulls! Yay! (And I’m crossing my fingers that I find a real Moo egg in there too!)
Thank goodness! I was driving myself crazy, like Katie. Your hint helped redirect me.
wow this is fun! I am so addicted! Please don’t stop now. I need something to distract me from work. found #40
D: clueless on 40. I’ve been trying alll day. hints, please!
@ Sophia I’m glad to help!
Speaking of help…does anyone have a hint for 39? I don’t even know where to begin on that one lol! Oh, and a giant thank you to Moo for putting the egg designs out there! They rock!
I’m lost on both clues. So when do we know who wins the random drawings for the people who weren’t first in finding the eggs?
Yay again — a nice way to finish off after a few stumpers. The hint for 38 also helped, hope I wasn’t too late for that one.
i’ve been put into a daze,
finding one (finally!) after three days.
thanks for such a great hunt, moo,
no one is as fun as you
Think about what rhyme finishes the first couplet. And then, well you’ve got all the rest, you should know what to do.
Thanks for the hints everyone. I found it. Argh, I was so close about one minute after the clues were posted – all I had to do was scroll further down the screen. Aaaaa!
