Make MOO Postcards!

18th October 2007 by Denise

For quite a while now, the MOO community have been asking us to make Postcards. It was on our Big List of Things to Do, and so we’re really happy to be able to tell you – we’ve crossed it off the list! Postcards are live!

Available in packs of 20, you can choose a different image for the front of every card. Like our other Products you can upload or import the images yourself, or choose images from our designers. Use our online tool to design the back of the cards, with a choice of colours, fonts and layouts.

Even better, if you buy them before October 28th (midnight, UK time) the shipping is free!

They do say that Postcards are one of the most collected items in the world. If you could see the MOO office right now you’d think we were going for some kind of collecting record ourselves. We have different cards covering almost every surface – in different types of paper, finish, layout etc. We’re really happy with the final outcome, and we hope you will be too. They’re on nice thick paper stock, gloss laminated on one side. (Glossy – but not nasty glossy, don’t panic, matt laminate-lovers). Try a pack out, and let us know what you think. We do listen!

And it might seem kind of early – but guess what? The Holidays are coming! Oh yes, it’s time to start thinking about the festive season again. We know the MOO community are a creative bunch, so we’ve made this! Its a Holiday Card competition and People Powered Card Store. We’ll post more about this next week… but check it out and get your creative juices flowing – we can’t wait to see what you come up with. And more to the point, there’s money to be won!

  1. Matt:

Awesome! I’m gonna have to start sending postcards to everyone I know.

  2. Nikki:

That’s great, guys, but unfortunately, I cannot justify these when Winkflash sells them at less than half the price in any quantity. Kudos in your endeavor, but I think I will stick to the Mini Cards…

  3. Denise:

@Nikki, yep, there are lots of places that do sell Postcards online- one of the joys of a global internet is that you can choose to buy your items from anyone, anywhere :)

We like to think our Postcards are as special as our MiniCards, and priced accordingly. (Paper for paper, the cost works out to be quite similar.) If Postcards are not for you, that is a shame, but we’re happy you like the MiniCards anyway!

  4. x-f:

Yay, long awaited Moo Postcards! Nice.

I have a question. When personalizing Postcards, there’s an option to remove Moo logo from the backside. Why there’s no such option for Notecards as well?

  5. Denise:

    @X-f – it’s a little complicated – the back end works differently!

  6. Andrea:

well I just placed my order for postcards and I cant wait to get them!

    i *heart* Moo

  7. Kate:

yay, thank you moo…can’t wait to get some postcards (which I’m sure I’ll get too attached to to actually post)

  8. Joan M.:

Yay! Another cool product. Can’t wait to get ‘em!

  9. Heidi:

Ive just sent away my order for moo postcard, yeah i guess they are a bit pricy but moo’s made it easy for me too try it out, then ill look somewhere cheaper… love the moo cards, just ordered my favorite photo to use as a business card

  10. Chris Battle:

Will a postcard template be available soon?

  11. Chuck S:

I sure would love to be able to order standard business card sized Moo Cards. Especially if I could get them with my business name embossed over the photo on the front, and then with all the standard business information on the back. The minicards are cute, and I do use them as business cards, but I’d like the option of getting standard sized business cards as well.

No, I don’t expect you to change your product lineup for little old me, but I figured you’d want to know the interest is out there. Drop me an e-mail if you ever decide to provide such a product.

  12. Deann B.:

I’d like to know what the bulk discount is for ordering postcards – I didn’t see that on your FAQ page.

I too am interested in regular-sized business cards as well. I currently use the minicards, and people like them, but they say they are too easy to lose!

  13. Denise:

@Deann – eek – sorry the details of bulk discounts for Postcards will come next week – things have been a bit frantci recently with the launch of these and also Greeting Cards :)
