We love to print
Skip navigationPhotojojo have been talking about time capsules, which is an idea that set our heads in motion. We love this idea – how about making a time capsule using your MiniCards? Use some of your own, and some of your friends… we know they stand up to a certain amount of bashing around, before anything happens to them – so they should last the distance.
The coolest thing about using MiniCards for this? It has to be metadata – with Flickr MiniCards every card can include details on the back, like the date it was taken, the title, and the url. Knowing the date is was taken will be great, and lets face it in 10 years time you’ll have a gazillion photos on Flickr, so the url might come in handy.

And while we’re talking about Flickr, a belated Happy 3rd Birthday! We couldn’t be there in person to enjoy the fun (and cake) but we were pleased to see that we were there in spirit…

On a different tack, Adam Reuters gave the SecondLife MiniCards a write up in his blog. And we were pleased to note he’s even made some Moognets too.

And while we’re talking craft, check out the nice MiniCard box designs, on Flickr.

While you’re over there, also take a look at EGREG’s set of MiniCard swaps. We’re worried he’s becoming addicted…

And finally, a few of us have made a dash for the border, we’re at SXSW. If you spot a tall man in black, a ginger girl or someone sneaking out for a crafty cigarette, it could be one of us, so come up and say hello.
Please keep comments on-topic and be nice to people. We don't like moderating, but inflammatory, or otherwise inappropriate or comments will be deleted. Repeat offenders sent to the MOO dungeons.
Thanks for the link love, guys! We love Moo!

And we love you back! It was an eagle eyed Mooster from the office that spotted your time capsule idea.
Love the time capsule idea! Supporting metadata on your cards is awesome. And nice link to PhotoJoJo – those guys are great.
Sachen gibts… [...]
